Inside Out (Song from Narrative)

Here's the song I wrote last summer, which I talked about in my narrative, if anyone is interested in hearing it. I mentioned in my narrative how this song was able to help me get through a rough point in my life and I thought it might be helpful, to the ones reading the narrative, to actually hear the song so that there is a better understanding of how it impacted me.

Welcome

This is a blog I have made for a web based writing portfolio in ENGL 1100 at CSCC. I go by the name of Austin Hafner because that was what I was given when I was born, but other friendly acquaintances have referred to me by another name: Red. Maybe this is because I have radiant red hair or because I cannot seem to know somebody without making a note that my favorite color is red. The color red is most commonly associated with passion and desire. I believe I have a strong passion for the music world. It takes me to a safe place and acts as a halcyon for the soul. When I pick up a guitar, sing a few notes or strike a chord on the keys, it carries a very durable weight on my conscience that keeps me honest. I may not be the kind of person who is completely genuine in face-to-face interactions, but when I have something written down, someone reading my work will know that I am being direct without aspersion.

Writing is a gateway to expressing the inner sanctions of a person's soul. Amidst anyone's day, there is always something to write about. There is always a thought or idea that is needed to be shared. The world is counting on it. I find most of my solace in nature. It is simplistic and it works. Human life, society if you will, tries so hard to work, but no one in life is perfect. The cycle of life, the way that our natural world functions, it all makes sense. The reason why complications arrive in nature is because society does a poor job of taking care of it. People are consumed with wanting more, we are greedy and profoundly ambitious. Sometimes it is better to just stop, take a breath and enjoy what is around. We already live in a perfect and luxurious world if everyone would just take the time to notice it.

The only other words I can say is this: Stop wanting more, just be content with where you are and what is in front of you.
